Quick Reference

This section contains an alphabetical list of riteMail terms (displayed in bold underlined font). Click on the buttons and areas of the interactive riteMail User Interface chart on the bottom of this section to quickly learn riteMail features.

Clear Edit Control: delete all content of a message. See Editing riteMail Messages 

Color Ink Control: use this pull-down menu to select ink color. See Ink Controls, Colors

Eraser Writing Tool/Edit Control. See Writing Tools, Styles, Editing riteMail Messages

Grid option: set custom grid color and appearance: horizontal, vertical, both, none (riteMail for Pocket PC also allows to choose custom step of the grid) 

Message Header: this is where you enter the sender and recipient information and the subject of your message.  See Addressing riteMail Messages.

Help button: opens this Quick Start Guide from the riteMail toolbar

Horizontal scrollbar: use it to scroll riteMail messages. 

riteMail Logo: directs you to the riteMail Web site

Message Options control - opens Options window and allows to choose custom paper, grid color and appearance, and sending options (Copy messages to myself)

Message Separator - provides and automatically expands free space for your response to somebody's message. See Message Separator

Paper Color option: set custom paper (background) color

Pen Writing Tool simulates a calligraphy pen, with a chiseled look. See Writing Tools

Pencil Writing Tool simulates a round pencil lead. See Writing Tools

Primary Email - your main registration reference; it is important to enter it correctly during the registration.  See Registration and Login

Registration and Login: you have to register before sending your first message. See Getting Started

Registration Form: you have to complete this form during your registration. See Registration and Login

Remove Strokes Edit Control: delete strokes by crossing them out; or, delete the top or bottom portion of a riteMail message by drawing a horizontal deletion line. See Editing riteMail Messages 

riteShape button: allow you to perfect freehand shapes. See Smoothing Shapes.

Run Now button and menu item - directs to the registration and login page, launches riteMail for registered users. See Getting Started

Send button: click this button when you are ready to send your riteMail message.  See Sending riteMail Messages.

System requirements - see Getting Started

Line Thickness Ink Control: use this pull-down menu to select ink thickness. See Ink Controls, Styles

riteMail Toolbar

Undo Edit Control: undo mistakes, wrong deletions, words written in the riteShape mode, etc. See Editing riteMail Messages

User Name and Password: you have to define them during the registration. If you declined automatic identification, you have to enter them for every message. See Registration and Login

Vertical scrollbar: use it to scroll riteMail messages.

Write back button: click to respond to the riteMail message. See The riteMail Interface
