Sending Messages
Once you have completed your
riteMail message and tapped the Send button on the upper right corner of your message, the message will disappear from your screen and be placed in your selected Service's
Outbox folder or into the local Outbox folder. Please refer to Customizing riteMail to learn more about selecting email services. If you are using the ActiveSync Service, your message will be automatically
sent during the next synchronization session with your desktop computer. If you are using a direct Internet connection with the option to disconnect after synchronization is complete, you will need to open your Inbox
application with the Pocket PC's email Service that you are currently using in riteMail and tap the
Connect (hand) or the Send/Receive button (two envelopes) on its Toolbar. This will open the
connection and transmit your message.

This
delivery method works if you have selected either your Pocket PC's Inbox application as your desired Service or
Default
while customizing riteMail.
You
can also send riteMail messages directly via riteMail server
or custom SMTP server (see
Customizing riteMail for instructions how to
set up message delivery). If the immediate delivery of messages is chosen,
riteMail application will attempt to send messages instantly after
the Send button is pressed. Otherwise, outgoing messages will be stored in
the the local Outbox folder after the Send button is pressed. To deliver
messages, choose Tools->Send Outgoing.
Note:
Some versions of Microsoft
ActiveSync have a 16K size limitation on outgoing messages. Thus, messages larger than 16K could be truncated.
Sending over direct Internet connection (wireless or wired) does not have
this limitation.
